OUR STORY
Owner Jorge Cosio, a veteran restaurateur originally from Mexico City, drew inspiration for the Gourmet Burger Grill concept from restaurants in London, Las Vegas and New York City.
He wanted to bring to the people of San Antonio an innovative concept that changed their perceptions of what a burger should be.
Gourmet Burger Grill redefined burger history in March 2007 when it open its first location. GBG, as its affectionately known, quickly started getting the attention of burger lovers and restaurant critics.
The restaurant got a stream of hungry customers and awards. Critics raved and stomachs growled. In the first year that it was open GBG received the award of best new restaurant in San Antonio.
Two years later it opened its second location. Today, GBG keeps serving the best burgers and the best value in town.
